Hi, Marcel
My experiences with IR 750 are:
Speed: ASA 32 (no filter)
Filter factor: R25 or R29: +2stop (that's ASA 8 on an external light meter)
Y12: +1stop
You can use the "sunny sixteen" rule: with a red filter, 1/8sec and f/16.
I suggest you do not use the internal ttl meter, but if you want to have a
try, follow this simple procedure:
in a sunny day, point your camera to a well lit "average" open landscape,
including some trees, some shadows and some sky. You should use 1/8" f/16...
so move your camera ASA setting knob till you obtain this value. This method
will not assure you infallibility, especially when you meet "not so average"
conditions! So, if you are in doubt, remember that usually overexposing can
save your life, and underexposing will probably kill you...=20
This film has the tendency to give too dense highlights in most developers.
I didn't try Tmax, but if you will, I suggest to dilute it a lot, maybe 1+10
or so... and to use long dev. times (maybe 12 - 15 min at 24=B0/75F). Please
post your results. To me, the best developer seems to be Rodinal 1+75,
10min, 20=B0/68F, agitation: 30secs + 5sec every 1min..=20
In low contrast situations, you can underexpose 1stop (EI64 unfiltered and
the usual filter factors), developing in Rodinal 1+100, 12min, 24=B0/75F,
getting thin shadows.
I'm experimenting with Rodinal Special, I wil post my results.
Ciao ciao
