Russ, I've made the switch to HC110 for my HIE. You can use dilution B
or dilute straight from the jug at 1:31 (use a pipette). I run it at 68 degrees
F for 6 minutes. If you want more contrast, strengthen the dilution to
around 1:25 or even 1:20. I ran a roll of Konica at 1:7 and got some
rather usable negatives, actually. That was after I picked myself up off
the floor when I realized I didn't do the predilution...... 8=O
Better contrast than D-76, but not as crazy as D-19.
Enjoy,
Tim

Finally got a chance to shoot some HIE this year! However the only film
developer I have on hand is HC110. I checked Kodak's web site, and
they
give time for HC110 Dilution B, but said it was "for scientific
applications". This is obviously cryptic, and I'm wondering what kind of
contrast "scientific" use will give me? I'm looking for a higher than
normal contrast, and hope HC110 will give it to me.
