Printing HIE

Several months ago mention was made about water vapor, as in high humidity
and waterfalls, and HIE.  Recently, I went back to the Great Falls of the
Potomac in Virginia, where I had made some images straight from Chaos.
This time everything looked crystal clear until I made enlargements.  At
the base of each cataract and rapids were wonderful small clouds of mist
from the moisture.  

Another aspect was the appearance on one print of split toning.  I was
using recent Agfa Protriga #3 and toning it in selenium (10:1) for six
minutes.  One of the lesser exposed prints toned in the midrange but not in
the high lights or dark areas.  It is also centered in the print. Makes an
interesting result with the mist from the water vapor.  I can't claim
credit for the print, it just happened.
