I solved this problem by purchasing a "changing bag" or a zippered
double black bag. I've become so used to the bag that I have changed
infrared film in it while in a boat in the swamp and superstitious
enough about it that I load any film I am going to develop onto reels
using the black bag.
Should be available via a good local camera/film store or the NY
stores by mail order.
