IR film records IR radiation, which is affected by heat.  You are correct in that a
person's body heat will not be recorded with infrared film, unless they areon fire
(note "Rethinking Infrared Photography - Dispelling Myths" on my Web page).  OTOH,
HIE/HSI will record the infrared radiation from an object with sufficient heat.

[clipped opinion I agree with]
