Why do you say this?  I use rear focus at least half the time.  For 
close-ups rear focus is much better since minute changes in the lens 
to subject positioning are more likely to adversly affect subject 
overlaps and definitely change the magnification.

On any monorail and field camera that I can think of it is equally 
easy to use either standard for focus.
