It is one thing for a book to not offer much.   It is another for a book to
claim that fixer used to fix IR film will contaminate other films with IR
radiation.  I am still finding it difficult to believe that a book could
have actually stated that.  And besides, I bought the first volume of Mr.
Paduano's series more for the photographs within it than for the technical
details, which I admit were fairly sparse.  A book can't please everyone.
But contaminating other films.....really!
