IR doesn't come through plastic tanks - at least probably none of the ones that we
use. There was a time many years ago when cheap plastic tanks were sold. These were
the ones that would crack when you rapped them to dislodge the air bubbles. Today's
Paterson and Jobo tanks are completely removed from these pieces of junk and have
absolutely no problem with IR film.
The plastic used for making the Holga, however, is another story. I am guessing that
the film would fog, but I really have never tried it. There's one report here of it
working, so perhaps it would work. The problem, however, is that the shutter only
has one speed, with two choices for the aperture. I am going to guess that one would
have to depress the shutter several times to get enough to the film for an exposure.
Can you imagine a Holga on a tripod? <g> OTOH, this quadruple exposure method might
make for some interesting results, which is what using something like the Holga is
really all about. On second thought, I think I'll send roll through mine.
