I process all my film including HIE and Konica 750 in Patterson plastic
tanks.  No IR leaks in.
Before using them for IR, I checked with the Kodak technical support line
and after digging beyond their first line of defense (the ones who just
read the same instructions to you that didn't answer the question in the
first place) I was told it should be OK.. Then I called Saunders/Patterson
and they also said their plastic does not transmit IR.  From the
conversations, however, I got the clear impression that it very much
depends on the specific plastic involved and what filler was used to make
it opaque.
