I would say that "pushing the limit" is not a good thing as far as consistency is
concerned.  Rodinal is one of the cheapest developers out there, so purchasing a noew
bottle should not be a real problem.

My experience, however, is that the stuff lasts nearly forever.  My bottle doesn't have an
expiration date.  I've been using the 500ml bottle for at least 6-7 months and am only
about a third of the way through it.  I expect to finish it up over the next year.

A note to lurkers:  Rodinal produces exceptionally grainy negatives.  If you are not
looking for grain, this is certainly not the developer for you.  If, however, you are
looking for grain, run (don't walk) to the store to get a bottle.

BTW, my time for Rodinal at 1:100 is 5 min 70F when shot at EI 250 metered TTF (through
the filter).

BTWBTW, Rodinal is wonderful with HSI.  It has become my standard developer for IR sheet
film and creates wonderful negatives.  The images in the Southwest Wing of my Web page
were all developed with Rodinal.
