Alastair

The confusion comes from the fact that the "color" a layer is sensitive
to is not necessarily the color or dye produced. This is, in some
respects, true of conventional film, which is why we have a range of
pallattes from which to choose. EIR is an extreme example of this.

Kodak states, in their tech info:

the recommended reversal processing will yield
cyan dye in the infrared-sensitive layer, yellow dye in the
green-sensitive
layer, and magenta dye in the red-sensitive layer.

Obviously, with the integral tripack, combinations of dyes in different
layers result in a wider spectrum in the finished chrome.

Hope this helps the confusion.
