studio lights

I know there was just a HUGE discussion about this but it didn't apply to me
at the time so I didn't pay attention.  But now, I am in a portrait
photography studio art class and we will be shooting in the studio.  I thought
I might try some infra red.  Is it affected by all light sources in the
studio????ie tungsten, flourescent, strobe or is it affected by some, more
than others.  You don't have to get into great detail as I know this is an old
topic but if you could just send me some private email I would appreciate it.
