East and west of Tucson (I prefer west) there is the Saguaro National
Monument. They may be cliches, but I can't help being impressed by the
Saguaros. You gotta trek a little off the highway to find new interesting
poses, so wear cactus needle proof boots (those cholla are murder) and
don't disturb the snakes. I also found the Mission San Xavier del Bac
great for IR when the sky and the sun is right (south of Tuscon a bit).
Hit the Mission at sunrise I think.
Also, if you are near Albuquerque, there is the Isleta Indian Reservation.
Interest (locally well known) church. Residents do not appreciate tourists
much, so discretion is required and don't roam the town or point the camera
at a house or especially a "kiva" without advance permission. Shots of
ramshackled adobe buildings and big bread ovens, etc. may be worth the
chance that they'll run you out of town.
Good luck, EltonK
