Contax G2 + IR

Hi Everybody,

I'm in the market for a rangefinder. The Contax G2 seems to be the best
quality/price/performance compared to the Mamiya 6 or Leica M6 but I'm
not sure if the frame counter uses an infrared beam or not. Does anybody
has an experience with G camera and IR?
