I agree with you. I also never got any pinhole in all my HIE films
(around 40 presently). I do not believe that chemical items cause the
pinhole problem incl presoaking etc. It doesn't sound logical. In that
case the whole film should be 'pinholed' or be one big pinhole!! I think
it's purely a matter of proper agitation. After pouring the developer
into the tank it's of paramount importance to agitate at least for 30
seconds and bang the tank on the table. Also never turn the tank up side
down since this will cause a lot of air bubbles on the film surface. See
