<<<<The last batch of negs i got from shooting Konica IR ( my second
roll
ever, this film is rather new to me ) were to contrasty to my taste.
Printing them on grade 2 was still not soft enough. I exposed at 12 ASA
and developed in TMAX for 5.5 min. Does anybody have a suggestion for
improving this? Shortening the dev. time, different developer?

I started using the Konica IR and had my lab develop it just like Plus-X
using Tmax developer. My first few rolls I exposed at around ISO 6-12
and they were too contrasty and dense. Now I am rating the stuff at
around 32-64 and this works well. I didn't want to process the film
myself so I just had the lab use a consistant development and I
adjusted my exposure.
