So, how do *you* load your HIE

Hi Gang,

I'm just getting started (read: experimenting) with infrared, and want to
start working with HIE. I'll be working with an original EOS Rebel (EOS
1000 - It's my old body, and I've verified that it uses a mechanical frame
counter) with my 24-80 zoom (since it has IR focusing marks) and deep-red
IR filter (not opaque). I've also been studying the HIE data-sheet for
starting exposure values, but even then I'd appreciate any real-world hints
or tips anyone has.

I do have a question though. I know I need to load the HIE in complete
darkness... I went out to buy a changing bag, and was promptly told it
wouldn't work... that I need to load while in a darkroom that's been
checked for IR leakage. Is that what the rest of you do?? Can I use a
changing bag in a really dark room? A friend who used to shoot HIE said
that I could use a changing bag so long as I didn't use it in direct
sunlight, and even then cover it with a heavy blanket or coat while
changing....

So, what's the real scoop???

David
