I just wanted to drop a note to thank the list for all of your assistance
and inspiration to give IR a try.   Last weekend, I shot two rolls of HIE
in my EOS 1000 with a B+W 92 (equiv. Wratten 89B) filter.   I shot at a
local Japanese Garden, and a local Mediterranean style villa, and bracketed
all over the place (1 on meter, one and two stops over and under, for a
total of five frames per shot or 7 shots per roll)

I didn't expect to get anything.... after all, it was just an experiment
and a first time out. But out of 14 different shots, 10 are usable, and
about 5 are what I'd consider really good... (composition was what I'd
visualized, IR effect was about what I'd expected (or better) focus on,
contrast and exposure good)  Even better, I learned a lot for next time!

Hopefully I'll have the good ones scanned and on my web page soon and I'd
appreciate critiques when I do.
