a note on the developor question:  we are in the middle of our alternative
processes class and the beginning of the semester was dedicated to learning
about the chemistry that constitutes a developer and the chemistry in the
emulsion in paper and how they work together!  Once we learned the chemicals
and how they differed..(some are warm toned/high contrast and you can vary the
results  depending on the ratio of the chemical)  well....you learn about the
paper and the film you use and then you make your printing and developing much
easier to tailor to what your doing!!!!

you really understand and can make much more precise decisions about how your
negative and print can end up looking!
