The point if the filter is to capture a larger percentage of infrared radiation
as compared to visible light.  There can be a dramatic difference, depending
upon the scene.  A #25 filter is convenient and you might even be able to shoot
without a tripod.  An opaque filter can exagerate the scene greatly.
