Clear spots on negs
I know this question has been addressed before but I don't remember any
definitive answer. I had not experienced the phenomena earlier so perhaps I
just didn't pay attention. Anyway, on the latest rolls of 70mm HIE that I
printed I discovered that I did indeed has little clear spots on the negs that
printed, of course, as black spots and are very hard to get rid of. I used
tap water, as I always have, to mix the Tmax developer. Can it be that or
agitation which is standard periodec inversion? Is it like banging the tank
to clear air bubbles with any film? All answers appreciated. The 70mm HIE is
too expensive to waste, not to mention the fact that some potentially
wonderful photos may be ruined.
