54 according to Mamiya, but this also depends on film thickness, and
since HIE is thin Estar, you might squeeze 60-65 out of a full
cannister.
Btw, are you looking for used backs?
I might know one or two for about US$450....I believe new price is
US$900 or more.
Personally I am about to finish my long term Mamiya
project....started with one single 70mm back, found another one for a
good price, and added a 37mm fisheye last year. Now I finally scored
a body this month....I knew there was something missing inbetween....:-))
I will now start dreaming about IR-corrected Mamiya APO
tele's....;-))

Btw2: if anyone sees surplus 70mm film, regardless of emulsion,
please send me a note. Old color IR (IE, in E-4 cq EA-5) would be
very nice, since my 70mm lab can still handle the old process.

Btw3: I might have a Linhof 70mm loader available soon, for US$125.
Designed to load from bulk roll to cartridge (with friction clamp to
slow down the bulk roll from unreeling like toiletpaper), but also
accepts the Kindermann SS development reel for loading from cartridge
to reel. It also accepts at least 400 feet rolls, while the Alden
daylight loader only takes 100'.

Btw4: did you check the FAQ on 70mm infrared by Jim Henderson on my
homepage? (URL below)
