triboelectricity and triboluminescence

Light too. For a practical demonstration of triboluminescence, go into a
good darkroom with the safelight turned off, let your eyes adapt for a
few minutes then unpeel some sticky tape - quickly. You will see lots of
light.

The effect of damaging the surface will be smaller than the effect of
the light and the effect of the electricity on the silver halide - the
electricity will develop the film slightly.
