Hello All,
I'm an amateur photographer but I've never had any classes, so I
went to my school's library to learn more about technique. I'd never even
heard of IR photography until I ran across a copy of Joseph Paduano's "The
art of IR Photography." It's a great book and I thank him for writing a
book that doesn't assume that I'm an expert. IR is amazing and I plan to
use it exclusively.
Unfortuanetly I have a Canon EOS Rebel-G (I told you I was an
amateur). I borrowed an OM-1 and shot a roll...you can see "the good one"
at http://members.aol.com/uciwingman if you are interested. It's the
first photograph on the page. Anyhow, I need to buy a camera that'll work
for IR but won't cost me too much. I'd like to spend less than $150 (US)
so I need old stuff. I heard that I can get a Nikon 50mm F1.8 for $50 and
that it's a good lens. Is it??? What would be the cheapest Nikon body
that would work well? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Jason
