The difference between the Hoya yellow and a Kodak #12 is very
noticeable, certainly when compared side by side.
I have also found that the Hoya filter allows about 1 stop more
light through so I expose in our studio at about 400 asa as opposed
to 250asa for the #12 filter (not metered through the filter). I am
still
waiting for the B+W colour IR filter the arrive. Has anyone here used
it?
A light Orange filter I think can sometimes look the best for
pictorial work and I have found they need about the same exposure
as the #12. I am just waiting for a sunny weekend to try some of the
other filters.
