Depends upon the spectral sensitivity of the meter, which is determined
by cell type, internal filtering, and internal electronics.  Just
because you can't see through an 87C doesn't necessarily mean that your
meter can't.  For those with this question, why not call the technical
service department of the manufacturer of your camera and/or meter and
find out for sure?
