Does anyone have information on the new KONICA Hexar ?

I red in a french magazine last month that Konica was intending to sell
a new version of his rangefinder camera, which would have
interchangeable lenses, the only thing missing on the first version !
Above all, the lenses would be Leica M compatible...

I believe this would be great for us, IR fans.
As a matter of fact, I started shooting IR with a reflex and a 87 filter
on front, which is quite boring, especially for portrait (don't move for
a few minutes, please...). Hence, I bought an old Leica M3, which is
very nice for shooting, once you have managed to load the film in total
dakness (this is something to try at least once in your life). Now,
thanks to the IR list, I fitted my old Nikon FG with a wratten 87
between the rails and a handheld meter rated at 3200 ISO covered with
the same filter, and it works fine for me.But the Hexar would certainly
be a nice solution also (easier to load than Leica and cheaper than
Contax G2).
Unfortunately, I don't have any web page to show you the results (the
french fellows though can see my wife's "belly button" in the "spcial
infrarouge" edition of Chasseur d'Images magazine published a few months
ago).

Thanks for any comments,
Vincent
