RE: XRays on Athene Airport

Hi,
Your best bet would be to keep the films in their containers and place
them in an x-ray safe bag or can which are lined with lead. only your
luggage gets x-rayed when you arrive in Athens. so if you are carrying
the film on you there would be no problem. The thing you should worry
about is the scanning done on your person when leaving Italy? (was it
Italy?). You might encounter problems when leaving Greece with exposed
film, since hand search will not be allowed, and certainly do not
attempt to pass anything under the table not even as a joke. From
personal experience the I have not got any film damaged by x-ray
machines in Greece even EIR, and sometimes without the x-ray protection
bag.
