Dear Willem:

I received a message from the owner of the list (that would
be you?) about changing a direct link. 

I have a link from the bottom of my ir.htm page to your pages
at http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/mainpage.htm

As far as I know this is the only link that I have.  It is not
to the list but to your wonderful web pages.

If you want me to change it then tell me what the new URL should
be.

If there is something that I don't know about just let me know
and I'll try to fix it.

For those who have a direct link to this list 
(something like "Send 'subscribe' to majordomo@xxxxx") :

Could you please change that to a link to my list-info page?
There are a few reasons to prefer new subscribers 'entering' the list 
this way:

- - this list-info page specifically asks new subscribers to read the
FAQ before entering the list

- - it also mentions both real-time and digest version, so that people
don't 
switch immediately after entering (I notice this effect too many 
times....could be prevented this way I guess)

- - it stresses the importance of reading the welcome message with all 
the admin notes

- - if I ever change/update the list software, I only have to update 
this page....otherwise everyone with such a direct 'subscribe' link 
must change his page too. The page-address won't change, but it's 
content might.


So please make a link to this list-info page, and not to Majordomo 
directly.
