RE: EIR
I have found that when I have loaded the film outside in full shade
and even a couple of times when loaded inside with a window it
has very slightly fogged the film. You can see a yellow/magenta
fogging in the film border that should be black, this shows as
light fogging through the leader slot of the film as you can see it
repeats a few times through the film for about 4 layers. The only
time I have noticed any change in the image it's self however
is when photographing something that should show as pure
white, it takes on a pink/magenta cast.
The fogging on the film I have found is no problem but does in
my opinion it does happen. The main point with this film is, it
does have a anti-halation layer unlike HIE/HIR but probably
just lets a bit of IR light through.
Make what you will from this information, but I shall still be loading
my EIR in strong shadows out side with out any worry.

p.s.
I have found a polariser and orange filter gives a 'nice'
green sky.

Ken, regarding your question on loading the new EIR film, I load it
outside in
shade with no problem. Iv'e shot about 50 rolls loading and unloading
this way
without any fogging or light leaking in.
