I did an outdoor engagement portrait once. Both the bride and groom were
wearing dark sweaters. In the finished HIE image, one sweater stayed dark
and the other turned light. I asked them what the fabric content of their
garments were, and one was acrylic while the other was a wool blend. I
don't remember which was the one that turned light.
It seems that what the fabric is made of is as important as the color!
