It's really just a matter of preferring Rodinal to do the duties with slower
films. With the tighter grain structures, acutance becomes more of an issue,
and that's where Rodinal really shines. I don't use Plus-X, but if I did I
would probably use Xtol, as Rodinal would produce grainy negatives (of course,
if that's what your looking for, then Rodinal is your choice of developer).
