There has been some discussion about use of Rodinal with HIE . Everyone has 
their own method, I use the following:-
set meter for ISO400, meter through #25red.
pre soak 20sec. 20C
Agfa Rodinal dilution 1+25 at exactly  20C for 7 1/2 minutes, patterson tank.
Agitation, continuous for first minute (not excessive) then one quick inversion +1/2 
turn when placing on bench every 30 seconds.
Stop, citric acid 10g/litre, 30 sec. with agitation.
Fix Agfa agefix 1+7,   wash ect.

Yes the results are slightly grainy which IMHO suits the images, see:

I like to print on slightly warm tone paper, and sometimes increase the Dmax by 
selenium toner with chloro bromide papers.
