SFX 200 works well with the Hoya R72 filter or equivalent. It does not
work so well with true opaque IR filters as the film is not a true IR
film. If you are metering through the lens, just set the ISO to 200. If
metering with a hand meter, or if a filter is behind the rails in the
camera, try ISO 50 or 25.
The SFX 200 is rather low in infra red contrast using a regular #25
filter, so you will like the film much better with the Hoya R72 filter.
It's the only filter I ever got good results with using SFX200 .

"Just interested if anyone has any experience in using SFX200 with any
of
the opaque filters....

If anyone has any starting points for exposure - can I use the same
filter factor (3 stops) as I would with HIE when using a R72 filter ?

Or is the bandwidth overlap between the film and the filter so narrow
its just not going to work ?
