re:sepia toning HIE prints

     We do a lot of this in my advanced classes.  It looks great!  
     Personally, I prefer a light selenium to the sepia.  The one thing 
     we've noticed semester after semester is that the Ilford fiber papers 
     do not tone well with either the Kodak Sepia or the Berg sepia.  They 
     turn out blotchy all the time.  I haven't investigated this with 
     Ilford because I hardly ever use it but I wonder if they don't make 
     their own toners specially formulated for their paper.  
     
     None of the unique appearance we associate with IR is lost in the 
     toning process, that's the good news.
