Thank you for all your suggestions regarding this problem. Following
some testing it appears that the stripes were the result of inversion
agitation during processing (just a few times are enough), even though
the last 50 HIE rolls exposed with an F4 were processed this way without
vertical stripes being visible.  Following tests with film from the
Bronica 135 back, when subjected to very gentle rotary agitation every
30 seconds
the stripes do not appear. There were no discernible light leaks in the
Bronica back.
