you can go the 2 1\4 by 3 1\4 Crown or century Graphic route.  You then
have a range finder medium format camera that that you can also focus on
the ground glass when you need this and have the time.  I got my first for
$150. from Pacific Rim camera   http://www.teleport.com/~pacrim/.  You then
will need a roll film back from about $65 to $180 for a used back.  You
will then have a  6x7x3  box that packs very well and you can take
excellent photos with.  The Main Page for all of this information is

to make a decision.
