This Dutch summer is indeed very bad up up till now although I read in
the newspapers that this kind of summer seems to be a normal one. We got
spoiled by the very good summers the last five years. Anyhow, I agree
with you: no conditions for judging the effects of #87 and #87C
sheetfilters. So I'll keep waiting my verdict about said filters.
I installed a remaining piece of sheetfilter in the 135 Wide filmback of
my Bronica ETRSi. The filter is further away of the filmplane (about 5
mm) and can't touch the film. This might have an improving effect on the
quality of the picture. We'll wait and see.
Yes, I removed the protective foil (on both sides) from the #87C filter.
The #87 didn't have these! I follow the focus correction as indicated on
the lensbarrel. I presume these are maximum corrections for full IR
above appr. 700 Nm.
