This was a minor part of my response to the following post which suggested
creative elements being lost as a result of using computers:

Initially (4 or 5 years ago) it was very hard to find galleries that would
accept my digital work here in the UK. This barrier now seems to have
largely been removed. Results using traditional processes were regarded as
"fine art", digital processes were excluded.
Preference is an individual right, as is your chosen practice and
photographic process. My point was that we all work with a range of tools,
all of which can be useful in fulfilling an original vision. Tools aid the
creative process. Essentially what you re-state in your post.
By the way, I avoid food cooked in a microwave as much as possible for a
number of reasons associated with the effects of the cooking process rather
than the range of creative dishes produced with them. They are great for
cold cups of tea though ;-)
