RE: Drum Processing of HSI?

David:
I use Besseler drums for my 4x5 HIE, and found that they were light tight to
IR. By experimenting, I found that I should cut my development time by about
10% to allow for continuous agitation (but that was at 68F -- I use an ice
bath to lower the developer temp from tap water that is often 76F or
higher). I recommend cutting an exposed sheet of film into four strips, and
then processing each one for +/- 10% and +/- 20% to see what works the best
(and also confirm that the drums are light tight). I DO love the chemistry
savings that my drums give me!
