Actually, it's called Konica 750 because its sensitivity *peaks*
at 750nm, as shown in the curves on the data sheet.  Its
sensitivity extends down to 820nm, but drops off fairly sharply
around 800.  True, that's not as far into IR as HIE, but it's
certainly *much* further than 700nm, and does constitute "real"
IR.  I've used it quite a bit with a no.87, though not with an
87C, and my negatives certainly aren't blank.  If I can't see
through the filter and it can, it's seeing real IR.

Of course, Konica 750 is a much *slower* film than HIE, and
combined with its lesser sensitivity to wavelengths below the
750nm peak, it does get very slow indeed.  With a no.87, in
bright daylight, I rate it about EI 1.5 or 2.
