The Nikkor 300/2.0 was only 6.5 kg (14 pound) heavy and even a the Canon
EF 300/2.8L USM (3 kg) I own is not easy to use without a monopod. BTW:
A Nikkor 300/1.4 does not exist but if you are lucky you'll find a used
300/2.0 for less than 10,000 USD.
