Dear Doug, (and Willem)

I work with CCTV cameras of which some are IR sensitive but are monochrome
only. Recently some manufacturers have been releasing 2 chip cameras that
are colour in daylight and switch to mono (IR sensitive) at night, however
recently a manufacturer has released a budget changeover camera and to keep
prices down they did not put an IR cut filter on the colour ccd chip so it
is IR sensitive and really distorts the colour of objects esp. black which
mostly comes out a sort  of turquoise to white. A young lady friend of mine
who has beautiful red hair which comes out almost white when I point the
camera at her. I will be getting in touch with the manufacturer and get some
specs. off of them.
