What do these cameras do that is different from regular video cameras?
Are they more sensitive to IR, or do they just provide an IR light for
illumination?

It says that "When used with one of the camera's filters in bright
sunlight, NightShot can sometimes yield images that make flimsily clad
people appear to be naked"


the effect, in general, is as follows:

clothing. The images that appeared in the cameras' viewers were more
reminiscent of the ``X-Files'' than an X-rated movie.

                    ``It was sort of surrealistic and eerie looking,''

illusion of seeing flesh.''



I was toying with the idea of getting one, but since this "problem"
has come up, I will have to hurry and make up my mind if I want to get
one before they modify them...
