Guenter, a warm welcome on this list, adding one more famous 
IR-author to the records (Joe Paduano preceeded you quite some time 
ago....;-)). 

I have your last two IR/UV editions (1978 & 1992), and am still
looking for your first (1967, 'Grenzbereiche der Fotografie' I
believe). IMO it is one of the best modern technical tutorials
available today, almost worth learning German for this purpose
only....:-))

To show the odd coincidences in life, I met Rudolf Hillebrand (the
only other IR-author in Europe that I know of) the day after I
subscribed you (on a Dutch open air photo fair; always run into him
on other large Dutch fairs as well, and his own second hand fair in
Duisburg is close by as well....:-)) , and he said he was pondering
about publishing an art/glamour-only IR book, in addition to his
general/tutorial IR book (which is far less technical than yours).

Once again, welcome, and I hope you have as much fun on the topic of
IR/UV with this medium as I have.
