Simply carry your HIE container close to your body - e.g. in your yacket
pockets.

3 years ago while travellilng in France, I caught a flight from Nice to
London. I had taken numerous exposures on both 120 and 4x5 film which I did
not want to pass through the inspection x-ray machines at the airport. So, I
wore a pair of pants that had several pockets as well as a photographers
jacket which also had several pockets, and loaded all my 4x5 boxes and 120
rolls of film into these pockets. I removed all metal objects from my person,
including my belt. I had no problem going through the metal detector, but had
to hold up my pants. No one bothered to stop me even though a close visual
inspection would have disclosed I was carrying a lot of something.
