Hi, Julie. You'll see those terms used a lot here.  They are Kodak product
codes for black and white high-speed infrared (HIE) and Ektachrome infrared
(EIR).  HIE is an infrared workhorse, and EIR is becoming very popular
because it's E6 compatible (you can develop it in standard E6 slide
processing instead of the old and hard-to-find E4.  Hope this helps, and
