I seriously doubt that diluting it 1:1 would have that much effect on the film.
Certainly it would be underdeveloped, but you would get considerably more image
than you got (which was none).
I would try shooting a handful of frames and developing them before commiting a
full roll again. I'm thinking that something extreme happened, like the shutter
not opening, or something like that.
