$9/roll is about right, as far as cost is concerned.  However, I would
discourage you from using a film with which you have no experience - especially
since you are in a time crunch.

I would recommend that you go with what you know and take time (when you have
it) to learn HIE.  Why would you risk graduation on a film you don't know?
