First foray into IR, inspired by some recent excellent IR examples at the
local photography club meet, I am keen to make use of day light which I
seldom find attractive using colour films. I expect to use HIE and 092 B&W
filters.

I would like to use aculux-2 developer, has anybody experience with this
combination and if so what would you suggest and a "ball-park" EI and
processing times?

I expect to use a Pentax LX, I read in the FAQ that the dimples in the
pressure plate of the LX may cause visible marks, is this due to the lack of
anti-halation layers? Has anybody actually experienced any problems with
the LX and IR films?

Can the Pentax LX IDM metering system be used with the 092 B&W filter?

Has anybody a solution to IR focussing using the Contax G2?

Are lens hoods necessary for IR photography, are metal hoods better than
rubber for IR reflections?

TIA,
